Anatoly is a former Soviet Union Psychological Warfare Operations Officer and Community Liaison Officer (CLO) for Afghanistan on which diploma merits he emigrated to Australia in 1997; he has been a Shotokan karate buff since 1982. He has incorporated his learnings from his Zen, hand-to-hand combat, and military psychology training to cope with fear of death, trauma, chronic fatigue and battlefield stress into the TeeBEI Method.
The TeeBEI Method is based on the mirror neuron theory, which is the ability to learn new skills by imitation through action and observed actions. This theory contributes to Theory of Mind (ToM) skills, which are a personal capability of understanding that others have beliefs, desires, intentions and perspectives that are different from one’s own. Possessing this functional theory of mind is considered crucial for success in everyday human social interactions and is used when analyzing, judging and inferring others’ behaviors.
Neuroscientists, such as Marco Iacoboni, argue that mirror neuron systems in the human brain help us understand the actions and intentions of other people. In a study published in March 2005, Iacoboni and his colleagues reported that mirror neurons could discern whether a person who was picking up a cup of tea planned to drink from it or clear it from the table. In addition, Iacoboni has argued that mirror neurons are the neural basis of the human capacity for emotions such as empathy.
It is also speculated, by V. S. Ramachandran, that mirror neurons may provide the neurological basis of human self-awareness.
Our brains are wired for survival, but also for empathy.
We have mirror neurons that fire when we see other people’s pain. Let us learn to love ourselves so we can be more open and compassionate to others, and so we can take down the walls that limit who we can be and what we can contribute.
— Melanie Greenberg
The TeeBEI Method is Anatoly’s ability to simulate mirror neuron activity to produce a mental state that triggers a similar process in others which leads to them reproducing Anatoly's state of mind in another person. That in turn enables psychological release and recovery to restore the original biological settings freed from any trauma-related disorders and anxiety accumulated over the lifetime.
The research of Dacher Keltner found that individuals subjected to the influence of power for extended periods of time acted as though they suffered from a traumatic brain injury — they became more impulsive, less risk-aware and significantly less capable of seeing things from another person’s perspective.
Sukhvinder Obhi recently described something similar. Unlike Keltner, who studies behaviors, Obhi studies brains. And when he put the heads of the powerful and the not-so-powerful under a transcranial-magnetic-stimulation machine, he found that power impairs a specific neural process, “mirroring,” that may be a cornerstone of empathy. This provides a neurological basis to what Keltner has termed the “power paradox”: Once we have power, we lose some of the capacities we needed to gain it in the first place.
Mirror neurons are leadership tools: Emotions flow with special strength from the more socially dominant person to the less.
— Daniel Goleman
The premise of the TeeBEI Method is to assist an individual in attaining the level of self-awareness that causes a hard reset of the psychological state in an enjoyable manner. The result is a new (restored) level of self-awareness that allows an individual a fresh start, and opens up infinite possibilities for further self-development, personal and professional growth in the most positive and harmonious fashion.
The TeeBEI Method is highly recommended for business leaders whose brain has been hijacked by power, stress and money.
Anatoly's approach releases that hijacked brain and restores "mirroring" to its original state to allow the return of sound judgment, empathy and the ability to enjoy the much higher quality of life. Hence, reformed business leaders could play a far more formidable role to the benefit of their employees, communities and society.
Alan has recorded his own transformative process to analyze deep changes he has undergone during work sessions that were done remotely with Anatoly. The TeeBEI Method allowed Alan to put together the elements of the process and keep track of personal inner changes while journaling and analyzing his mental and physical states. Alan recognized the profound results as transformative and decided to form the Transformative Business Ethics Initiative as a way to bring together like-minded and discerning leaders around the world to ensure human flourishing through conscious and value-based projects.

This method does not require any medical licensing, nor does it require any formal psychological training. Basically, it is a lecture on merits of business ethics in a corporate environment.
